Cozy Ways to Decorate Your Home This Fall

October 26, 2018 By Rosanne Dutzer Leave a Comment

Fall is in full swing and if you’ve been procrastinating on giving your home the perfect autumn feel, then we are here to give you some inspiration! Let’s face it, half of the joy of sipping on hot apple cider and indulging in a delicious pie is the atmosphere! There are so many different ways to cozy up each room this season, from the all-time favorites to new trends ready to spice up your home:

Add Some Plaid
Instantly add warmth and a snug feel to your bedroom with a soft plaid blanket! Yes, your regular old blankets are fine, but nothing says “cozy fall” quite like plaid. As the go-to style for fall, adding a plethora of plaid blankets are a must for any room in the house!

Cozy Up Your Dining Room Table
The first place to start is your dining room. Simply adding blankets, pillows, and a cushioned bench will make everyone want to gather around the dinner table long after the food is gone. Choose from any number of great fall centerpieces such as dahlias, ranunculus, or any of your favorite fall flowers. If flowers aren’t your thing, arrange a few gourds and small pumpkins for a subtle yet beautiful fall centerpiece!

Hang Fall Wreaths
If you thought wreaths were only for Christmas, think again! A fall wreath can do wonders for your home inside and out. Hang them on doors, windows, an empty nook, or even a bare wall. Add apples, cobs of corn, or autumnal flowers to your wreaths and bring some much needed seasonal life into your space.

Bring the Outside In
The overarching way to fully cozy up your home for Fall is to bring the outside in! As we have mentioned, adding pumpkins, gourds, and fall flowers as a centerpiece to your dining table, mantle decorations, or a fall nook in your living room. Maybe grab some leaves from your lawn (after you rake, of course) and turn them into a beautiful piece of art to hang in the entryway of your home. Fall is a great time for arts and crafts after all. You can never go wrong with a good, old-fashioned jack-o-lantern!

There is an abundance of fall decorations and trends to keep up with in order to keep your home nice and cozy. Add a few or all of these elements and that pumpkin pie will be even tastier and that hot apple cider even more soothing! What are your favorite ways to get your home feeling warm when the weather outside is cold? Let us know below!!
