Denver Events to Check Out in August

August 1, 2019 By Rosanne Dutzer Leave a Comment

A new month means a new batch of events and festivals to check out in Denver. Here are a few notables that the whole family can look forward to.

Denver International Festival – August 3
Not only is the Denver Internation Festival in Civic Center Park a can’t-miss event, but it’s also FREE to attend! This year will be the 4th annual festival filled with food, music, and art from all over the world from 11am-7pm. The International Festival is Denver’s largest celebration of culture and supports our local community as well as others across the globe. More than 25 homegrown and international performers will take the stage including a headliner during the annual benefit concert. What would a festival be without over 20 food trucks and a beer garden for beer and wine tasting too!

Sloan’s Lake Art and Music Festival – August 10 & 11
Just outside of downtown Denver you can find the Sloan’s Lake Art and Music Festival! Thankfully our great city offers an incredible amount of opportunities to find local art and music during summertime. Meet a variety of different local artists as they display their original work while taking in all the live music throughout the weekend. There will be plenty for the kiddos to do and create at the Creation Station including face painting.

Denver BrunchFest – August 25
Bottomless mimosas and Bloody Marys. We could probably leave it at that and you would already be lined up at the McNichols Building on August 25, but we’ll give you more details anyway! Denver BrunchFest is back for it’s third year and aims to be the biggest one yet. From 12-3pm sip on bottomless mimosas while tasting dozens of the tastiest brunch dishes from some of Denver’s best restaurants. Of course, there will be plenty of music and games to take part in along with brunch and you even get to be the judge for each dish you try. All attendees have the opportunity to vote for the Best Bite, Best Sweet Treat, and Best Savory Morsel so choose wisely!

There’s never a shortage of activities, events, and happenings to indulge in around Denver and make sure you don’t miss these three. Along with these great festivals, make sure to grab your tickets for Billy Joel’s first EVER performance at Coors Field!
