In case you missed it, Denver was named one of Travel + Leisure’s top cities to spend New Year’s Eve and we couldn’t agree more! The Mile High City has everything from concerts, fireworks, galas, and parties for a perfect evening to ring in the new year. We’ve compiled the best events for you to attend this New Year’s Eve to get 2019 off to a great start!
New Year’s Eve Fireworks in Denver
We’re starting our list with a bang (pun intended) for the New Year’s Eve Fireworks on the 16th Street Mall! Downtown Denver will sparkle and shine from the two incredible firework shows, starting at 9pm and midnight respectively. The fireworks shows will be synced with music from live DJs along the mall. Both shows can be viewed best on any part of the 16th Street Mall.
Resolution NYE 2019
If you’re more of the energized type check out the Resolution New Year’s Eve party at the McNichols Civic Center Building. The event includes three floors of DJs, dancing, live music, art installations, and open bars too! If you’re feeling lively and youthful and/or found a sitter for the kids, Resolution NYE is the prime way to party into the New Year. If you can’t decide between the fireworks or dancing, the McNichols Building has a great view of the fireworks show!
Denver’s Grandest New Year’s Eve Party
The Grand Hyatt in Denver is hosting four parties in one this year, with something for everybody. The Nacho Men are bringing the hits from the ’50s, ‘60s and ’70s, the Club X Band with today’s most popular dance songs, karaoke in the lobby bar, and a silent disco. If you haven’t done a silent disco before, we highly recommend this new trend! Not only does the party include balloon drops and champagne at midnight, but also an open bar and dinner buffet!
Denver NYE – White Rose Gala
For the nostalgic and old-fashioned at heart, the White Rose Gala will transport you back to the Roaring ‘20s. Take in all the glitz, glamour, and style at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House for one of the more unique New Year’s celebrations our city has to offer. Throw on your flapper dress or don a fedora and hit the dancefloor in one of the multiple rooms with live swing bands!
Denver has finally been recognized as one of the best cities in the country to celebrate New Year’s Eve and you have to take advantage of all the incredible event options at your fingertips. With so many options from the past traditions to modern parties, the most difficult choice you’ll have is where to start the new year off!
