November Events in Colorado

November 1, 2018 By Rosanne Dutzer Leave a Comment

Halloween and Thanksgiving can easily take up the spotlight as far as fall events go, but there are so many local happenings between the two major holidays that are worth checking out! We all know how busy the upcoming holidays can get, and with Thanksgiving just a few weeks away, make sure to catch these upcoming events in November!

Día de Los Muertos Celebration – Botanic Gardens – Nov. 3
This Saturday, November 3rd, the Denver Botanic Gardens are completely free in celebration of Día de Los Muertos! The celebration for the 3,000-year-old Mexican festivities will include live art demonstrations, Lucha Libre, face painting, children’s crafts and traditional shrines for deceased loved ones will be arranged throughout. Halloween doesn’t have to be over quite yet as costumes are encouraged!

Denver International Wine Festival – Nov. 1 – 3
Food & Wine Magazine calls it “one of the best wine festivals across America,” and we couldn’t agree more! The 14th year of the Denver Internation Wine Festival will showcase the largest selection of international and domestic wines in the Rocky Mountain region at the Marriott in Westminster. If you need some good grub to go with your wine, the festivities start with the Pairsine Chefs Fine Food and Wine Pairing Competition, where wine-savvy Colorado chefs will create twenty gourmet dishes topair with top wines from the festival. You can always count us in for wine – cheers!

41st Denver Film Festival – Oct. 31 – Nov. 11
Now that the weather is starting to cool off, it’s the perfect time to head inside for a movie…or 10! The Denver Film Festival is a great way to view films from all around the world right here in Denver either at the Sie Film Center, UA Pavillions, or the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. Whether you’re a movie buff, auteur, or just love a good popcorn movie, you’re bound to find your new favorite film out of the nearly 300 screening in the next two weeks.

Vintage Market Days – Nov. 16 – 18
If you didn’t already know, vintage has been one of the top trends in recent years and Vintage Market Days at the Norris Penrose Event Center is the perfect place to strike gold. After beginning in Tulsa, the event has now grown to 5 different states and 8 locations including Colorado Springs. If you’re looking for the best place to find all your holiday decor, or even Christmas presents, head down to Colorado Springs for the best finds from Stella Ella Vintage Dress, Inglenook Soaps & Co., Rusted Rabbit and many more.

Now that Halloween is over, Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, so make sure to enjoy the rest that the fall season has to offer! You won’t be disappointed by any of these great November events and we can’t wait to take them in for ourselves before the holiday hoopla. Let us know below which events you’ll check out this month!
